Dance Works! - $200 - D’Antono Dance Studio, Pine Island

Animal Art - $400 - St. Stephen's Parish Community Center, Warwick, NY

Class Descriptions

Yoga with Danielle

This will be a 1 hour class held at St. Stephen's Parish Community Center - Warwick, NY .  This workshop will expose participants to the practice of meditative yoga which helps to calm the nervous system and increase focus.  Participants will have the opportunity to increase core strength, flexibility and balance through this class. The class will be taught by a yoga instructor.  A DWH instructor will be present to facilitate social communication, individualized instruction, and encourage participation of all enrollees.


Dance Works!

This will be a  45 minute  class held at D’Antono Dance Studio in Pine Island, NY.  This class will focus on teaching popular line dances that are done at weddings and special occasions (like the Thunderbolts Halloween party) as well as popular TikTok moves.  Participants will have an opportunity to learn several dances while increasing their strength, balance and flexibility through conditioning and stretching  exercises. 

Animal Art

This 1 and 1/2 hour class will be held at St. Stephen's  Parish Community Center.  Artists will be encouraged to explore a variety of different art mediums (paper, pencil, canvas, paint and markers) to draw these animals.  Step-by-Step instructions will be provided  and individuals will be encouraged to express their own artistic interpretation. Interesting facts about animals will be shared and there will be the opportunity to participate in trivia games about the animals featured during the class.   Artists will also create photo notecards. This class will be co-taught by a DWH instructor and  Animal Art Instructors who have a background in art and music education.
