3:30 pm - 4:00 pm: Yoga and Meditation
4:00pm - 5:50 pm: All About Hospitality
5:50 pm - 6:00 pm: Clean-up and Dismissal
Class Descriptions
This class will teach individuals different strategies to practice yoga and meditation as well as the benefits derived from these practices. Participants will be taught different breathing techniques, participate in guided mediation and will have an opportunity to practice gentle yoga poses.
Requirements: yoga/exercise mat, wear comfortable clothing and athletic footwear.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of the hospitality industry. Organization, time management, working memory, communication (listening and speaking) and the ability to prioritize will be taught through hands-on activities that simulate tasks that occur in a hotel or bed and breakfast. Participants will have the ability to apply these skills in a simulated hospitality setting. Guest speakers from the hospitality industry will provide insight and instruction on completing tasks involving guest satisfaction by providing a comfortable and safe environment.
